On Wednesday, Dec. 3, Rancho Cucamonga High School seniors Jacob Chamber, Malik White, Joshua Mensah, and Justin Lewis officially signed their commitments to colleges to pursue their football careers. All four seniors will leave at the end of the semester and start college next semester.
Chambers signed with Fresno State, Malik White signed with UNLV, Joshua Mensah signed with the University of New Mexico, and Justin Lewis signed with Colorado State University.
Chambers, who committed to the Fresno State Bulldogs, shared his thoughts and feelings about how he feels.
“It feels good being signed to Fresno State. My goals going into college football is really just to go there and develop, really just to take everything in and not to rush anything. I’m a dual-threat quarterback, so I could do everything the coach needs me to do,” Chambers said.
Mensah, who is committed to the University of Colorado State, shared his thoughts on how he feels being committed.
“It feels great being signed to the University of New Mexico. I’m just blessed to have this opportunity; not everyone has a chance to play Division I football after high school. Being able to still play all three positions at a higher level,” Mensah said.
White, who plays offensive line, committed to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, shared his thoughts on being committed.
“It feels good being committed. Just like knowing everything I’ve accomplished. One of the biggest goals I have is to be second string, and I think leaving early is gonna help because I’m gonna have an advantage,” White said.
Lewis, who plays cornerback, committed to Colorado State University and shared his thoughts on how he feels about being committed.
“Honestly, it feels a little bit surreal because ever since I was a kid, my dream was to go to college, and now I’m finally here. The biggest goal I have is to get playing time,” Lewis said.
