2025 football season recap

Rancho Cucamonga High School’s varsity football team ended their season with an overall record of 8-4. Within the Baseline League, the team was 5-0 and prevailed, gaining the title of Baseline League Champions. They advanced to the quarterfinal for CIF, but fell short. The team still remains in Division 2 and is currently ranked 30 in California.

Kelsey Smith is a junior at RCHS, and this is her second year in journalism. Smith is a staff reporter for The Cat’s Eye. She enjoys writing for the school newspaper because she believes that it is extremely important to report current events to keep everyone socially aware of the world surrounding them. Outside of school, Smith participates in track and field, enjoys listening to music, traveling, and binge-watching dramas.

Jayden Rivera is a freshman at Rancho Cucamonga High School, and this is his first year in journalism. He is a staff reporter for the school newspaper, The Cat’s Eye. His favorite thing about journalism is socializing with people in the RCHS community. When he is not working on the school newspaper, Rivera likes to hangout with friends and play football.
