For its 19th year, Rancho Cucamonga High School hosted Rancho Remembers, a day where veterans come to the school and speak with students. This year, more than 200 veterans, including combat veterans from the Korean War, Vietnam War, and WWII, attended the event. Genavee Morales reports on the event.

Genavee Morales is a freshman at RCHS. This is her first year in journalism. She is a staff reporter for the school newspaper, The Cat’s Eye. Her favorite thing about journalism is being able to give a voice to the silent and reporting events or writing stories. Other than journalism, she enjoys exploring diverse kinds of media, such as music, editing, art, literature, and cinema.

Cyrus Pearce is a Senior at RCHS, and this is his second year in journalism. Pearce is the sports photo editor of the school newspaper, The Cat’s Eye. He loves to write sports stories like football and basketball and taking photos. When he isn’t writing, he is playing sports or spending time with family.
