The sixth-annual library bookmark competition is happening now. The deadline to submit is Friday, Oct. 13.

For the year of 2023 Rancho Cucamonga High School’s library is hosting its 6th annual bookmark competition. Each year, the library holds this contest where students submit their original designs for consideration. The winning bookmark is printed out and distributed to students.

“It is just to highlight their art and to promote students to read,” Ms. Connie Joyce, the RCHS teacher librarian, said.

The deadline to submit a bookmark is Friday, October 13. The contest was announced at the beginning of October.

This competition brings in artwork from many great artists each year. RCHS staff will judge the contest.

“I just hope that everyone participates, and we appreciate anyone taking the time to do so and the staff members who judge,” Joyce said.

The requirements for entering the contest are that the bookmark needs to be 7×2 inches and include “RCHS” and ”2023” along with the student’s name on the bookmark.

Students who win the competition will receive a prize in addition to having their bookmark printed for the campus. The first prize is a $50 gift card, and the second and third-place winners will receive a $25 gift card.
