Rancho Cucamonga High School celebrated homecoming week the week of Sept. 5-9. During this week, ASB coordinated a series of spirit days. The spirit days include a variety of categories to represent the theme of “Part of Your World.”

Here is a recap of the week’s spirit days:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 5: dress up in beach attire and wear floaties.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 6: Dress as your type.
  • Thursday, Sept. 7: Bring anything but a backpack.
  • Friday, Sept. 8: Wear neon colors

Students at RCHS said they really liked this year’s dress up days that coordinated with the homecoming theme.

“I really like the spirit days better this year,” sophomore Aeris Mitchell said. “I feel like they’re more trendy and more interesting and overall more fun to participate in.”

ASB has been very creative these past couple years and they hope to get more people to participate in the themes.

“The spirit days have changed from last year because now we have many more great ideas and more people participate in improving school culture,” sophomore and ASB student Brooklyn Helper said. “Participate in spirit days! It’s fun!”

ASB’s spirit days are well thought out and they have a specific process of picking themes and spirit days.

“ASB has a publicity committee and they worked together and collaborated to pick the theme,” ASB Advisor Ms. Heather Landau said. “We usually try to pick the theme according to the theme. I also find that the best way to get kids to participate is to make the [spirit days] easy, convenient and somewhat cool.” Said Landau.
