The BLT ep 1: The great sandwich debate

On the first episode of the BLT, hosts Bailee Small, Lauryn Desai, and Teagan Backer discuss all things relating to sandwiches. Guests Cyrus Pearce and Frankie Huerta share their opinions on what the best sandwich is. It’s an engaging conversation about a common lunch food, showing how many varieties a sandwich truly has.

Bailee Small is a senior at RCHS, and this is her fourth year in journalism. She is the editor-in-chief for The Cat’s Eye. Her favorite thing about journalism is writing stories about topics she’s passionate about. Outside of journalism, Small enjoys making jewelry, and reading, She also enjoy staying up to date on fashion trends and the Marvel universe. She believes the best stories come from curiosity, caffeine, and a little chaos.
Lauryn Desai
Lauryn Desai, Student Life Editor
Lauryn Desai is a senior at RCHS, and this is her second year in journalism. She is the Student Life Editor for the newspaper, The Cat’s Eye. Desai is currently on RCHS varsity volleyball. She works as an assistant coach at IMUA volleyball club. Every Sunday, Desai loves to raid her mother’s closet for new clothes. In her free time, she enjoys burning cookies.
Teagan Backer
Teagan Backer, Editor-in-Chief
Teagan Backer is a senior at RCHS. She is in her fourth year of journalism and is currently co-editor-in-chief. Backer plays for the LA Jr. Derby Dolls on the weekends and in her free time she likes to listen to music. Her favorite artists are The Doors and The Beatles. Backer also loves to travel with her family when she gets the opportunity to. She loves journalism because she gets to share current events happening around the world or on the campus with the students of RCHS.
