The second semester is in full swing, which also means the beginning of the graduation countdown.
Recently, RCHS Student Achievement held the Renaissance Rally on Friday, March 13. The rally brought students together in the gym to celebrate students’ academic accomplishments, recognize different athletic programs on campus, and finally crown the teacher of the year. This rally featured student performances and also class competitions.

As spring approaches, the month of April is full of many senior events. Firstly, kicking off with the Prom Rally on Friday, April 17, which includes an array of visuals and performances from staff, students, and the prom court nominees. Then, prom will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 7-11 p.m. Originally, prom was supposed to be held at the Coto Valley Country Club in Coto De Caza, California. However, on Sunday, March 15, RCHS Principal Mr. Azande Aikens sent an email informing students about a scheduling conflict. Prom will now be held at the Wild Rivers water park in Irvine. The 2026 prom king and queen will be crowned during this event.
Later in the month of April, the class of 2026 will take their panoramic picture on Friday, April 24, in the RCHS gym. The last week of April, RCHS ASB will host Senior Week, full of lunchtime activities and events. And to close out the month, there will be Cum Laude Awards at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, to award students for their exemplary grades.
“I’m very excited to go to prom and celebrate this year as a senior. I know it´ll be amazing,” senior Shayllyn Beltran said.
This closing out of this school year will be jam-packed with events and activities to celebrate the class of 2026.
