ASB announced the theme for senior sunset, ‘Oh, the Places You’ll Go!’

Class of 2023 enjoy the senior sunset on their last day of school.

The senior sunset is a tradition held at the end of the year on the last day for seniors, it represents the end of high school before seniors go on to graduate. It is one of the last events for seniors to participate in as a class along with Grad Night.

“I’m really excited to sign everyone’s yearbook, excited for In-N-out, the vibes, the ambiance.” Senior Savannah Mayle said, “think that it’s really cute because you start at senior sunrise at the beginning of the year and now senior sunset which is different because everyone’s going to different places and just a different vibe.”

RCHS hosted the event on May 22, 2023, at the football field and senior parking lot from 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

“Can’t wait to see all those cougars at senior sunset. I’ve had so much fun this year, it’s a great way to end the year off!” Liam Smalley said.

ASB encourages seniors to participate and enjoy themselves before the end of their high school careers.

“I’m super excited to go to senior sunset!! I went to senior Sunrise so I’m more than excited to attend sunset as well.” Senior Kailey Russell said, “It’s a wonderful experience and I really cannot wait to experience it with my friends. Also super excited for in n out”

The event contained activities for seniors such as music, and an In-N-Out truck. Seniors were able to take blankets, and their yearbooks so fellow classmates could sign.
