RCHS Host All–Comers Race
On Thursday, Aug. 18 on the RCHS campus track, the RCHS cross country team held its annual All-Comers race. The event was a time trial for RCHS runners to get prepared for their races. Other high schools were able to attend this yearly event along with other parents and coaches.
Freshman runner Evan Anderson said, “The end when sprinting to the finish line was the best part of the race. I had a time of 11.52 in the all-comers race.”
Anderson continued with an inspirational quote and what he does to prepare for a race.
“Hall of fame by the script feat. Will.I.Am is a song that pumps me up before a race,” Anderson said. “You only improve if you put in the work.”
“Keep working hard and finish off the season strong because you will end up regretting it later on,” said junior Madilyn Siana. “Something I like to say to my Teammates is You don’t have to go fast, you don’t have to go far. Just go!” or something I thought about me that I am capable of so much more than I imagined.”
The 2022 All-comers race was a annual event that got runners ready and prepared for their race of the season.
