Girls soccer celebrates Senior Night

The girls varsity soccer team commemorated one of their final times competing in the Cougar Stadium as they celebrated Senior Night on Tuesday, Feb. 1.

Despite the loss to Etiwanda, the final score of 0-2 against Etiwanda didn’t kill the night, and according to varsity senior and attacking midfielder Zoe Bravo, “Even though we couldn’t get the result we hoped for, we all fought together as a team to try and do the best we could.”

Bravo said, “I’m always proud of my teammates and it was nice to see us all come together to make the night a special one.”

After the game, the girls spoke to the RCHS TV Bulletin about what their final game together means to them.

“It was a bit sad because we’re not going to be playing on this field anymore.” Said Senior Abbie Brady.

Senior Kylee Hennesay said, “It was really emotional but exciting. I love this group of girls and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

The girls varsity soccer team may have lost this bittersweet game, but their bonds remain as strong as they were when they first stepped onto the field.
