Proud parents, teachers, and friends filled the Rancho Cucamonga High School auditorium for the Superintendent Honor Roll Ceremony on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. Students who maintained straight A’s every year, across six semesters, from freshman through junior year, earned one of the district’s highest academic honors.
The announcement of the Superintendent’s Honor Roll brought excitement and pride to Rancho Cucamonga
High School, where 33 students were celebrated for their years of academic excellence. This year, RCHS had the most students on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll out of any school in the district.
After countless late nights, challenging coursework, and unwavering dedication, the school and district recognized these top achievers for their consistency and perseverance.
“It made me happy to know that my hard work throughout school was being recognized,” senior Havi Mustafa said.
The Superintendent Honor Roll spotlights students’ diligence and commitment, proving that hard work truly does pay off. For many, the recognition serves as both a reward and motivation to keep striving for success.
Mustafa, one of this year’s honorees, expressed deep pride in her achievement.
“I’m being recognized for the dedication I’ve put through the school, and it’s nice that they’re giving back in the way that I’ve given my time towards the school,” she said.
At the ceremony, each of the honorees received a special graduation cord that contained all of the district’s schools’ colors from district superintendent Dr. Mat Holton. Honorees also received a certificate. Then, in front of their family, friends, and supporters, each honoree shared their name, goals, the college they want to attend, and the field they want to study.
“Being on the honor roll means to me working hard, and knowing good work ethic and knowing when to have your priorities for school and when to delegate time for friends and delegate time for
study,” senior Audrey Chu said.
Chu, varsity volleyball player and RCHS ASB member, is among the students recognized this year. Despite her demanding schedule, she maintains top grades through discipline and strong time management.

“If you look at the coursework they’re taking, they’re taking rigorous coursework. A lot of AP classes, honors classes, and still maintaining the A’s all the way through,” Principal Azande Aikens said.
Aikens expressed his pride in both students and staff who have supported them along the way.
“I’m just proud of our students,” Aikens said. “I’m really excited to recognize them at the ceremony, …it highlights our school to have so many students meet the superintendent’s honor roll.”
With years of persistence, focus, and support from family and faculty, these students have earned a distinction that reflects more than just grades. It symbolizes excellence, balance, and determination to succeed.
