For the first week of the NFL season, the reigning 2025 Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Dallas Cowboys went against each other in the first game.
On Thursday, Sept. 4, the teams went head-to-head in their first official game of the season. NFL fans from all over were excited for the season to start and watch their favorite football teams. The game was close in score and went back and forth, but the Eagles defeated the Cowboys, 24-20.
On Friday, Sept. 5, the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers played in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for one of the league’s international games. The game was a close but ended in the Chargers winning 27-21.

Senior Olivia Carter, a Los Angeles Chargers fan, said she is so excited for this NFL season because she loves football and wants her team to do well. She also said that she looks forward to the Chargers vs. Raiders game because in previous games they have been close in score, and it was exciting.
“The past season they have been good close games, so I’m excited to see how the game will turn out this season,” Carter said.
When asked who she thinks will be going to Super Bowl LX, Carter shared who she predicted would be playing.
“I say the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers are going to the Super Bowl this year,” Carter said.
Week 1 of the season is officially done, and now week 2 is on its way where there will be a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs. On Sunday, Sept. 14 at 1:25 p.m. at Arrowhead Stadium.
