Rancho Cucamonga High School held its annual Club Rush on Tuesday, Aug. 19, and Thursday, Aug. 21. Club Rush is an opportunity for clubs to showcase themselves and for RCHS students to find clubs and people with their same interests. This year, the event was held in the auditorium foyer and outside the auditorium during both lunches.
Club Rush featured an array of different clubs, ranging from Frisbee Club to Mock Trial. In total, 75 clubs participated.
There were already-established clubs such as Best Buddies, BSU, Key Club, and Sisters in Christ who participated in the event. There were also new clubs introduced, such as Med Search, Digital Art and Character Design Club, and FBLA.
There were also many academically oriented clubs offered to help students figure out what careers they want to pursue. Some clubs even offered outside-of-school events and activities.
“We go to UCLA, USC, Claremont, and other popular universities every year. It’s super fun with your friends, and you get to see issues in the world that are going on and participate,” President of Model UN senior Zhen Zhen Mei said.
CSF and AWF are just two examples of a club based around volunteering. Not only can volunteering look good on college applications, but joining a club centered around helping others allows you to participate in many city events. By volunteering, people can improve their social skills by interacting with new people.
“Last year, we had a volunteering event at an elementary school for Halloween. We also had one at the hospital,” Treasurer of CSF, junior William Wy said.
For people looking to join cultural clubs, Club Rush featured Arab Club, Filipino Club, Chinese Culture Club, Chinese Folk Music Club, Black Girl Magic, BSU, Korean Culture Club, and Latin-American Club. Religion-centered clubs such as Sisters in Christ, Jesus Club, and Muslim Student Association were there as well.
RCHS also offers an array of hobby-based clubs, such as Book Club and Origami Club. While being part of an academic club is beneficial, joining one that centers around one’s interests can be important.
For students who didn’t get their information at Club Rush and are interested in joining a club, most clubs have an Instagram account that displays their Reminds and meeting times. Students can also visit the clubs page on the RCHS website.
Rancho Cucamonga High School hosts its an annual Club Rush for the 2025-2026 school year. Club Rush is where student-lead clubs promote what they can offer students on campus to encourage them to join.
