Joshua Haynes, John Atienza, Alessea Pai, and Noah Fuentes: these are the students chosen at Rancho Cucamonga High School for the ASB executive board for the 2025-2026 school year.
They are the future leaders on campus, and they campaigned hard for their positions. These rising seniors campaigned by creating social media posts daily, making t-shirts, and even appearing on the RCHS TV Bulletin to advertise what they could do for the school for the upcoming school year. So what exactly are they going to do for RCHS, and what inspired them to run for this leadership role?
Haynes, the next ASB president, spoke about what he hopes for RCHS.
“My hopes for the future are to ensure that all students are cared for and heard,” Haynes said. “I want to help foster a school environment built on inclusivity, unity, and school spirit. I’m committed to creating a positive, and enjoyable school environment. I also recognize the injustices and indifferences happening on campus, and I will be the voice needed for change and real progress in Rancho Cucamonga High School.”
Ateniza, the next ASB vice president, discussed on the same topic.
“Being on the board, I hope to create a change in the way that students will feel excited and eager to attend Rancho events,” Atienza said. “I want every student to feel like they can’t miss out on a rally, football game, or even a dance because Rancho does it better than everyone else.”
Pai, the future ASB treasurer and first-year member of ASB, campaigned that she should be “ride or die (so) vote for Alessea Pai.”
“What I hope to change with me on the board is to have more financial freedom with what we can provide at school activities. I am to make every event memorable and make people die hard Rancho fans,” Pai said.
Fuentes, the next ASB secretary and the only junior to be on the executive board, said he views the role as a privilege.
“What I hope to change with me on the board is that the people on exec are always the hardest workers in the room and someone anyone can look up to not only as a leader but as a hard worker,” Fuentes said. “I want to set the standard that being on the executive board isn’t just a title but rather a privilege. I would also like to add on further responsibilities to the position of secretary that will benefit the class and student body.”
Members of the future ASB exec board were all motivated by something to run for a leadership role on campus.
“What inspired me to join the ASB Executive Board is the genuine need for change,” Haynes said. “I believe Rancho Cucamonga High School has so much potential, but it starts with the students. After talking with multiple peers, it’s clear that their voices need to be heard. I would be honored to bring this change to life.”
“Being on the board, I hope to create a change in the way that students will feel excited and eager to attend Rancho events. I want every student to feel like they can’t miss out on a rally, football game, or even a dance because Rancho does it better than everyone else,” Ateniza said.
Also on the ASB board are Directors of Campus Equity Haille Fritz and Ronaldo Ramirez. The Directors of Rallies Chairs is Audrey Chu and Brooklyn Helper.
