English teachers on campus share information about themselves. They share what author or book had the greatest impact on themselves and their education. They also share what inspires or influences their teaching style on a day-to-day basis.
"I’ve loved literature since childhood, thanks to my grandmother, who introduced me to reading. I started with Disney classics and books on tape, then transitioned to written works. I enjoy all types of literature, though I have a few favorite authors. I’ve been inspired by many great teachers throughout my career. My junior English teacher, Lucie Gonzalez, became a mentor and friend, shaping much of my teaching style. I’ve also been greatly influenced by Francie Ward, who mentored me in ASB and leadership and is one of the best people I’ve ever known."
