With such a strong start to this basketball season and his most recent commitment to Texas A&M, everything is going the way Aaron Glass intended. With such a decorative and star-studded basketball career, it’s hard not to recognize his name in the Inland Empire.
Glass went from playing in the Drew League with elite-level basketball players like Sacramento Kings forward and projected NBA Hall-of-Famer DeMar DeRozan, playing in the Adidas 3SSB 17u basketball circuit with top players in California, and playing basketball at Rancho Cucamonga High School under head coach Bill Burke.
Most people know who Glass are familiar with him as a basketball player, but it makes one think of a couple questions. Beyond the basketball jersey, who is Aaron Glass? What life experiences shaped him into the athlete he is today and are there any parts of his journey that remain untold?
“If I had to describe my life in a single word, it would be blessed,” Glass said.

He grew up with in a loving home environment with a loving and supporting mother, sister, and father which gave Aaron the keys to thrive beyond different circumstances. Growing up, he has always been involved with sports, first with football and then switching to basketball.
“I believe what shaped Aaron is the great foundation from myself and my family along with his dad and family displayed,” Glass’ mother, Dominique Glass said. “He comes from a strong foundation of love and faith.”
Aaron is known as a great observer and leader by many of his peers and family. Ever since childhood with football, his leadership and need for inclusivity for his team shined through. His love for sports and competition has been there since his early years as he was learning to grow into himself and mature.
“My favorite memories with Aaron is opening presents on Christmas Day or the beach drives,” Aaron’s sister, Marley Glass, said. “Those are core memories for me.”
