For the 2024 Homecoming dance theme, Rancho Cucamonga High School ASB students revealed this year’s theme: Rio.
According to ASB student Audrey Elise, ASB begins planning for homecoming several months before the event to make sure it is a success.
“I’m really excited for all the students to see our big ‘wow-factor’ we put together for them,” Elise said. “This year is going to be so exciting and the rally is going to be amazing.”
As Homecoming approaches, students at RCHS dress for a Rio-themed spirit week from Monday, Sept. 30, through Friday, Oct. 4. Each day has a different theme.
RCHS Homecoming Spirit Days:
- Monday: Go back in time and dress from an era
- Tuesday: Just like Blu and Jewel: twin with a friend or group
- Wednesday: Catch some waves or snap the pics: surfers vs. tourists
- Thursday: Gear up and game on: wear a soccer jersey or a sports jersey
- Friday: Blend in or stand out: wear camo or animal print to the rally
Junior Samantha Hunt said she is looking forward to the spirit days.
“I am excited because I can see all my friends and I will have a good time,” Hunt said.
When students were asked how they felt about the spirit days, most said they were ready to dress up. Students like Hunt also shared which spirit days they were most looking forward to.
Hunt said she is most looking forward to twin day “because it’s a cute way to dress up.”
Sophomore Paityn Hernandez said she is also looking forward to twin day.
If students are attending homecoming, they would need to purchase their tickets in the student store before school, after school, or during both lunches. Ticket prices will go up each week leading up to the event.
Homecoming Ticket Prices:

- Sept. 30 – October 4: $50, no discounts
The last day to purchase tickets will be Friday, Oct. 4, which is the last Friday before the dance.
Off-Campus Guest Info:
Students with off-campus guests must fill out a permission form that they can get from the student store before school, after school, or during both lunches.
Guests must also follow all event guidelines and dress codes. No refunds will be given to students or guests removed from the dance.
Any student who wishes to bring an off-campus guest to the event must have the permission form completed and returned to the dean’s office by the end of first period on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
