For one magical week, six girls were selected to be on the 2023 Homecoming Court. Every year, the chosen girls participate in numerous activities and represent themselves. Homecoming court princesses are voted for by students. Here’s a look at this year’s Homecoming Court.

Shareen Siddiqui, Editor-in-Chief
Shareen Siddiqui is a senior at Rancho Cucamonga High School, and this is her second year in journalism. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper, The Cat’s Eye. Her favorite thing about journalism is creatively writing stories and reporting on exciting events that occur on campus. Siddiqui is also a varsity cheerleader and a Link Crew leader at RCHS. Her favorite song is “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls, but she also enjoys listening to Taylor Swift and Paramore. When she is not working on the school paper, Siddiqui enjoys shopping and baking cookies.
Teagan Backer, Editor-In-Cheif
Teagan Backer is a junior at RCHS, this is her third year in journalism. Backer is currently a staff reporter for The Cat’s Eye. Her favorite thing about journalism is getting to write about current events around the school and taking photos around campus. When Backer is not at school or working on The Cat’s Eye she is either listening to music, roller skating, or crocheting.
Bailee Small, Editor-in-chief
Bailee Small is a junior at RCHS, and this is her third year in journalism. She is the editor-in-chief for The Cat’s Eye. Her favorite thing about journalism is sharing stories and events of students and staff at RCHS. When she isn’t working on a story she enjoys reading and listening to music. Small also loves spending her time drawing and playing Roblox on her iPad.
