The RCHS campus officers are hosting their annual toy drive hoping to spread cheer for the holidays. All donations will be distributed via the Chaffey Outreach Team, and are due by Dec 19.

All donations need to be unwrapped and new to participate in the toy drive. Some recommended items include gift cards, clothing items, and new and unwrapped toys.

“There’s a lot of families in need that kind of have a hard time,” said campus officer Brian Morales. “With toy drives, I like them because it helps out the family and gives us something to do for the day and it’s a good thing to see people come together and help out the community instead of keeping to themselves it helps let the people know someone cares about them.”

The donation box for the toy drive is located in the upstairs front office.

The toy drive is a yearly event at Rancho Cucamonga High School and has been happening for several years now. According to Ms. Alyssa Castro, the Assistant Principal of Discipline at RCHS, this year’s turnout has been amazing with most boxes almost being full.

“It offers the opportunity to people who normally don’t donate on holidays to do so and also give back,” Castro said.
