RCHS seniors have experienced three years of all the do’s and don’ts of high school. Here are some things to consider and it is never too late to learn something new. Although our classroom setting changed this year, it’s still a wonderful time to make friends and connect with others. Whether that is via Zoom game nights or Google meets you can hang out with friends from the comfort of your home or bedroom.

Although high school goes by very fast for most of us, it is important to live everyday to the fullest and surround yourself with people that only push you up rather than tear you down. At the end of the day everything happens for a reason and it’s important to do what makes you feel happy and comfortable with the highschool experience.

Here is some more advice from Rancho Cucamonga High School seniors.

Emma Reta: Create relationships with your teachers! It’ll help you in the long run and will make Rancho feel more like home! 🙂

Michelle Padilla: Try to get involved in clubs, sports, or any kind of curricular activity. This not only helps you be more social and meet more people, it gives you more things to put in you college application and makes you more independent. I wish I had gotten more involved starting from freshman year, I waited until it was too late. So my advice is: don’t be scared, just go out and try new things, join clubs, begin doing community service. Don’t wait until it’s too late, talk to your counselor and inform yourself! There are some opportunities that are never repeated.

Joelynne Esperanza: High school goes by so fast so cherish those moments while they last.

Natalia Rojas: As I am approaching my college applications I think it’s very important for underclassmen to get involved in anything that interests them. It’s very useful for the future.

Virtually we have become divided but hoping this new classroom setting becomes normalized it’s never too late to get involved, make friends, and work hard on bettering yourself and education.
